Current Projects
Aside from the projects I undertake as part of my work as a Freelancer, here follows a list of creative projects I am currently working on 'for pleasure' as it were...
(Updated June 2011)
The Powers that be Trilogy by M.J.Ryder
I am currently in the process of marketing and selling my self-published novel The Powers that be trilogy. For updates and all the latest news, please visit my blog.
The Darkest Hour by M.J.Ryder
Varrus is back! Though it's taken me a long ol' time, and one completely scrapped 70k manuscript in the process, I am currently engaged in writing the follow-up series to The Powers that be trilogy. Now I have a better grasp of where I want to go with the plot and the characters, I hope to really get down to some serious writing over these next few months. I am currently some 56,000 words of typed material into my latest book, with another 10k yet to be typed. I hope to have the first draft completed by the end of Autumn 2011.
A Door to Nowhere by M.J.Ryder
A Door to Nowhere is a humorous fantasy adventure story written for the 7-10 children's market. Written in a Dahl-esque style and making use of a "larger than life" pantomime villain in the evil Sheriff Stinkbottom, A Door to Nowhere is full of fun and mischievousness and will appeal to boys and girls alike. I am currently seeking representation for this work.
More Short Stories...
Aside from my main creative project The Darkest Hour, I am currently in the process of brainstorming a series of short stories that expand on some of my older works while also taking my writing in a new direction. More details to follow.
