Change to Blue Change to Green Change to Purple Change to Ochre

Front Cover

The waiting game is up it seems, and the time has come at last to make the next step in my arduous journey towards self-publication. I received an email from my publishers a few days ago now containing first draft cover proofs of my book cover, and from what I’ve seen so far, everything seems to be coming together nicely.

I always knew from the beginning that I wanted a sunrise behind an island as my central image, and looking at it now presented on a cover fairly close to my final design, I see that my perseverance with the concept has paid off. I have to say I really like what I see.

Some of you reading this will no doubt have received emails from me asking for feedback, thoughts and opinions, and I’m grateful for all the replies that I’ve had. Without sounding too mysterious for those of you out there who haven’t yet seen it, I think the black and white cover is far superior to the blue, though there are aspects to the blue on I quite like and might reconsider for the final draft.

Because the book has yet to go to print, and the design is yet to be fully finalised, I thought it best not to put it up on this site just yet, for copyright / intellectual property reasons if nothing else. As soon as I get the first copy of the finished book through the post, I will be sure to upload images as well as previews and so on. I can only hope now, that the content of the book itself lives up to the lovely illustration done for me by Mr Lawrence.

Until next time,

Writing update

Writing at present is going pretty well I must say. I've just written the first chapter of the second part of my new book, and I'm already about half-way through the second chapter as well. Typing progress however, is another matter completely.

The problem at the moment seems to be that I can't for one minute sit at my computer without some 'more essential' task come up for me to do, or for me then to get distracted in by a Facebook debate, or by my work on CNC:EVO. I would say here, that MSN certainly doesn't help, but truth be told, I haven't used MSN properly in years. It seems just now all I can do is keep on writing, and hope one day, some day, I might find some time to type up the masses of manuscript that I've yet to update. Hopefully, I'll find some time before Uni starts...
