A note on plaigarism
The one thing that is always drilled into us at university when doing any form is work is: DO NOT PLAIGARISE.
Now if someone were to say, submit a piece to LeNurb that is a direct copy of a work by another author, readily available on the internet, you can appreciate that this work is NEVER going to be allowed to be published. Not only is it legally wrong to claim another's work as your own, but it would make us look extremely stupid.
To the individual who submitted a formal complaint regarding our non-publishing of his work: plaigarism is wrong. You really do have a lot of gall to submit a complaint on the grounds that your work didn't get into our student magazine. We were actually remarkably lucky that we were able to spot your work was copied from an internet source.
You say we didn't tell you your work had to be your own, and be original. Well, that's because this is ASSUMED KNOWLEDGE. Everyone knows plaigarism is wrong (well, clearly not everyone...). You're at university for goodness sake. Sort it out, grow up, and come back with some work of your own.
TYVM.
